About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Custodial Services Supervisor to assist the EVS Manager and Shift Manager in planning and implementing various meetings, training, and operational tasks. This role involves supervising team members, ensuring proper supply and equipment management, assisting with hiring, understanding budgeting, and conducting inspections to maintain high standards throughout the casino and related areas. The supervisor will also be responsible for chemical safety and effective communication within the department. During peak times or staff absences, the supervisor is expected to work hands-on to ensure adequate coverage.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail.
  • 2 years prior supervisory experience in Environmental Services or similar field.
  • High school diploma.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and computer.
  • Must have excellent judgment and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist EVS Manager and Shift Manager in planning and implementing weekly supervisor meetings, quarterly meetings with team members, and conducting pre-shift meetings.
  • Implement training guidelines and follow up to ensure programs are working properly.
  • Act as a coaching partner with new team members for successful transition.
  • Ensure shift managers are provided with supply and equipment needs and that all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored properly.
  • Assist with interviewing and hiring team members for your shift.
  • Understand budgeting and the efforts required to meet budgets.
  • Prepare recognition and improvement coaching for team members with specific examples.
  • Check staffing levels to ensure proper productivity, review payroll and ATS, and report discrepancies. Monitor overtime.
  • Make continuous visual inspections of the casino, F&B outlets, streetscape, and administrative offices. Contact the shift manager to correct deficiencies and ensure standards are met.
  • Ensure all chemicals are stored, handled, diluted, and used properly and safely.
  • Communicate with manager and shift manager any information needed to keep the department running effectively.
  • Supervise team members and, during peak times, team member absence, or special situations, work hands-on to ensure proper coverage.
