About The Position

The Curbside Clerk (also described as a Digital Clerk) fulfills customers’ online curbside orders and helps create a smooth, friendly pickup experience. The role involves shopping orders accurately and quickly, collecting payment, and providing service at the curbside pickup area. The clerk receives workflow through a dashboard and fulfills orders throughout the shift, using technology to select, scan, verify, and bag products. Orders must be stored and staged correctly in accordance with food safety guidelines. The clerk also keeps the curbside area clean and ready for pickups, responds to customer needs, and supports other tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Able to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Past online ordering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, remarkable service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet customers with a friendly attitude in person and by phone, and respond to their questions and needs.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, store team members, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly, partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items throughout the store, scan and verify products, and bag items according to bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
