About The Position

Culinary Institute of Virginia (CIV), the College of Culinary Arts at ECPI University, is seeking a dynamic, caring faculty member dedicated to helping students achieve their career goals. Faculty members deliver quality, student-centered, hands-on instruction that prepares students for success. This position is based at the Glen Allen, Virginia campus and is not remote. The ideal candidate will teach weekday morning sessions. Compensation is $1,444–$1,650 per course section, determined by discipline, credential level, and course type; the stated range is a good-faith estimate based on current pay practices.

The faculty member creates an engaging learning environment through practical instruction, instructional technology, and active learning approaches. The role also includes assessing student performance, participating in scheduled University activities, maintaining current subject-matter knowledge through professional development, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of computer applications.
• Experience with distance learning.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, food and nutrition, or a related field.
• Undergraduate degree in Culinary Arts or a foodservice-related field.
• Three to five years of industry experience.
• Experience with learning management systems (LMS).
