About The Position

The Culinary Call Center Associate supports patient care by accurately processing meal orders, assisting patients with menu selections that align with dietary restrictions, and providing excellent customer service. The role helps ensure patient safety and satisfaction by collaborating with clinical and culinary teams to deliver meals that meet individual nutritional needs. The employee performs other duties as assigned and carries out all job responsibilities in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service, administrative support, or call center experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use food service or call center software for order entry and record-keeping.
• Basic understanding of nutrition and dietary restrictions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA.
• Customer service orientation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and culinary staff.
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Use PPE according to Culinary and Nutrition Care policy.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers according to KHN standards.
• Wash hands according to KHN policy.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare call center or food service environment.
• ServSafe Certification.
