About The Position

Westminster Village is seeking a part-time Culinary Attendant to help create dining experiences for residents, families, team members, and guests. The role functions primarily as a dishwasher and focuses on maintaining clean kitchen work areas and sanitary dishes, cookware, utensils, and dining spaces. The schedule is 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., every other weekend and some holidays. The wage range is $15.45 to $17.75 per hour, with a competitive wage scale that includes an annual increase.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Assemble and serve food and supplements for residents, special events, team members, and guests.
Prepare simple food items.
Portion and set up individual servings, following census requirements and standardized recipes.
Follow proper food-handling practices and Illinois Department of Public Health regulations.
Take menu orders and serve diners efficiently and courteously.
Check outgoing plates for menu conformity and neatness.
Maintain cleanliness and order in kitchens, pantries, and dining areas.
Wash dishes and maintain sanitary conditions for dishes, flatware, pots, pans, and serving utensils.
Clean counters, food-preparation areas, serving carts, and dining tables.
Follow sanitary and safety precautions, including procedures involving firefighting equipment, alarms, and disasters.
Work cooperatively with team members to meet residents’ service needs.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members with patience, understanding, and tact.
Attend required educational meetings and training sessions.
Assist cooks and perform dishwasher duties as needed.
Set up guest tables and special-event settings.
Maintain meal records and accurately complete guest meal slips.
Bus and clean dining-room tables after each meal.
Perform other duties as assigned.
