About The Position

BJC HealthCare is hiring a full-time CT Technologist for Christian Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. This is an advanced-modality Computed Tomography position working day shifts Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., three days per week. The role performs diagnostic imaging procedures for adults and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis or treatment and quality control. The position may require work at other sites as required by the work area. Christian Hospital has served St. Louis and surrounding areas since 1903. Its Northwest HealthCare location offers 24-hour emergency care and outpatient diagnostic and imaging services. The Cat Scan department at Northwest HealthCare uses a Siemens Somatom Sensation 16-slice scanner, which supports faster scan times and lower radiation doses. Requirements

Associate degree or trade school equivalent in a related field.
Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)).
No prior experience is required.
Must meet applicable listed licensure or certification requirements: IEMA (Illinois only, excluding MRI) and one of RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, or RCES.

Nice To Haves

One year of CT experience and/or registration as a CT technologist (RT(R)(CT)(ARRT)).
Less than two years of experience is listed as preferred.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.
Intravenous Therapy certification.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
Perform diagnostic imaging studies independently, in on-call situations, and through portable exams.
Perform work at other sites as required by the work area.
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in an advanced imaging modality for diagnosis or treatment and quality control.
