About The Position

The CT Technologist joins WakeMed’s Imaging Services team and uses computerized tomography technology to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging that supports patient care. The role is responsible for producing accurate CT images, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with physicians and care teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment. The position requires a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Computed Tomography program and the applicable professional credentials specified for the role.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Computed Tomography program.
• Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT-R) required.
• The licensure section requires Registered Technologist in Radiography and Registered Technologist in Computed Tomography, or Registered Technologist in Radiography and Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, commitment to safety, and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

• Registered Technologist in Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) is preferred in the overview; the licensure section also specifies credential alternatives.
• Previous clinical radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images while following established protocols and radiation safety standards.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being, and communicate concerns to the care team.
• Prepare patients and equipment for exams, review physician orders, prioritize workflow, and explain procedures to patients and families.
• Position patients and imaging equipment accurately to obtain optimal images and support efficient exam completion.
• Document diagnostic information and maintain imaging equipment.
• Partner with radiologists and physicians to support accurate diagnostic outcomes.
