About The Position
The Cross Docker works in Gordon Food Service’s Miami warehouse distribution center, helping ensure seamless order processing and delivery. The role involves unloading cross-dock products from trailers, scanning and sorting products by batch, and placing products on the case system. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The position requires standing throughout the shift, lifting up to 100 pounds, and working in extreme cold or hot conditions. The schedule is Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Starting pay is $22.95 per hour, including a $1.00 second-shift premium, with two pay raises in the first year and additional hourly earnings available for speed and efficiency.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits and updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 100 pounds.
