About The Position

This is a 6-day out Midwest U.S. schedule for an Owner-Operator. The route involves departing Mississauga to deliver in Thunder Bay, then reloading southbound out of Thunder Bay into the Midwest U.S. and returning to Ontario. Drivers will be required to drive Highway 17 in Ontario year-round. Additional work may be available based on freight and Hours of Service (HOS). Freight and destinations may vary based on operational requirements. The Midwest short-haul pay-package applies. Bison Transport is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Requirements

U.S. qualified
Able to lift 50 lbs. or more
Owner-Operator with 24 months tractor trailer experience
Tractor must be equipped with a DEF system
Valid Class 1/AZ license
Reliable, flexible, and punctual
Strong communication skills
Values safety
Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse

Responsibilities

Depart Mississauga to deliver in Thunder Bay
Reload southbound out of Thunder Bay into the Midwest U.S. and return to Ontario
Drive Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months of the year
Operate a tractor trailer for cross-border Midwest short-haul routes
Ensure timely and safe delivery of freight
Maintain flexibility to adapt to varying freight and destinations
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
