About The Position
This 6-day out Midwest U.S. schedule departs Monday and averages 2,500 to 2,700 miles per week. The role involves departing Mississauga to deliver in Thunder Bay, then reloading southbound out of Thunder Bay into the Midwest U.S. and returning to Ontario. Driving on Highway 17 in Ontario is required 12 months of the year. Additional work may be available depending on freight and Hours of Service (HOS). Freight and destinations may vary based on operational requirements. The Midwest short-haul pay-package applies.
Requirements
- U.S. qualified
- Able to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Owner-Operator with 24 months tractor trailer experience
- Tractor must be equipped with a DEF system
- Valid Class 1/AZ license
- Reliable, flexible, and punctual
- Strong communication skills
- Values safety
- Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
Responsibilities
- Depart Mississauga to deliver in Thunder Bay
- Reload southbound out of Thunder Bay into the Midwest U.S. and return to Ontario
- Drive Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months of the year
