Cross-Border Midwest Short-Haul Class 1/AZ Driver - Monday Thunder Bay Schedule
About The Position
Bison Transport is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cross-Border Midwest Short-Haul Class 1/AZ Driver for a Monday Thunder Bay schedule. This position offers an average monthly earning of $7150, with a $750 sign-on bonus. Drivers are paid weekly. The schedule involves being out for 6 days, departing Monday from Mississauga to deliver in Thunder Bay, then reloading southbound out of Thunder Bay into the Midwest U.S. and returning to Ontario. The role requires driving Highway 17 in Ontario year-round. Freight and destinations may vary based on operational requirements. A Midwest short haul pay-package and a $0.13/mile Northern Ontario premium apply.
Requirements
- Must be U.S. qualified
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Company Driver with 24 months tractor trailer experience
- Must have a valid Class 1/AZ license
- Reliable, flexible, and punctual
- Strong communication skills
- Values safety
- Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
Responsibilities
- Depart Mississauga to deliver in Thunder Bay
- Reload southbound out of Thunder Bay into the Midwest U.S. and return to Ontario
- Drive Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months of the year
- Handle freight and destinations that might vary based on operational requirements
