CRNA (Nurse Anesthetist)
About The Position
We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position in Columbus, GA. This is an inpatient role covering supplemental needs. The coverage period is ASAP and ongoing, with an initial commitment of 1 month. The role is clinical only, with a shift schedule of Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The CRNA will manage approximately 8 patients per day, with support from 1 RN and 2 office staff. The case mix includes complete ortho, complex vascular, pediatrics, regional, and thoracic cases. The department has 14 beds and utilizes Cerner EMR. Temporary privileges are available. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
- Active GA License or compact license
- Board Certified (BC)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients for various surgical procedures including complete ortho, complex vascular, pediatrics, regional, and thoracic cases.
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition during anesthesia.
- Manage patient care in an inpatient setting.
- Collaborate with the surgical and nursing team.
- Document patient care and anesthesia services using Cerner EMR.
