Experienced Mechanical Engineer with expertise in mission-critical infrastructure, industrial facilities, and large-scale engineering projects. Proven ability to support the full lifecycle of critical facilities from design and construction through commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Skilled in root cause analysis (RCA), reliability engineering, HVAC systems, chilled water plants, power generation support systems, and data center infrastructure. Strong track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve availability, efficiency, sustainability, and operational excellence in complex environments at STN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting industrial, commercial, utility, power generation, oil & gas, or data center facilities.
  • Experience with mission-critical infrastructure design, operation, maintenance, or construction.
  • Strong understanding of integrated mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, submittals, and applicable building codes.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project locations as required.
  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full lifecycle engineering support for mission-critical facilities from design inception through construction, commissioning, operation, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Serve as the primary mechanical engineering resource for regional infrastructure projects and operational teams.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts, root cause analyses (RCA), and corrective action development for critical equipment and system failures.
  • Support operational excellence through technical reviews, procedure development, equipment assessments, and training initiatives.
  • Design and implement upgrade projects that increase capacity, improve reliability, enhance energy efficiency, and support sustainability objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, construction, commissioning, controls, environmental health and safety, and design teams to maintain engineering standards and operational consistency.
  • Conduct engineering audits and site assessments, identifying operational risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Support new construction projects as a resident engineer, ensuring successful installation, commissioning, startup, and system turnover.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across various locations while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Develop innovative engineering solutions that improve facility performance, resilience, and long-term maintainability.
