About The Position

Individuals in this position support 100% uptime for DataBank’s data center and its customers. The role is responsible for technical aspects of facility operations, including power and HVAC systems, and for supporting successful customer integration and implementation of company solutions. It also drives organizational processes and procedures, oversees implementation of customer application solutions, and handles facility issues encountered during day-to-day operations.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of facility operations and management experience in the data center industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong skills in presentation and proposal design.
• Strong knowledge of general industry technologies and systems, including UPS, generators, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
• Strong supervisory responsibilities are required.
• Familiarity with field concepts, practices, codes, standards, and procedures, including environmental and safety regulations, ISO 9000 quality assurance standards, ISO 14000 environmental standards, and OHSAS 18000 health and safety standards.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; equivalent training, education, and experience may be accepted.
• Data center industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive processes and procedures in the organization.
• Develop and review MOPs and SOPs.
• Ensure correct and timely implementation of solutions for customer applications, including preparation of space, power, and network.
• Prepare and present technical presentations on the facility.
• Manage technical aspects of facility operations, including power and HVAC systems.
• Prepare monthly reporting and metrics.
• Provide technical support to ensure successful customer integration and implementation of company solutions.
• Handle facility issues encountered during day-to-day operations to ensure 100% uptime for facility operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
