About The Position

The Infrastructure Engineer, Mechanical Tooling will work closely with Mechanical Engineering teams across the company, supporting the work environment stack for surgical robots, manufacturing-line hardware, neural implants, and chargers. The role focuses on building infrastructure and tooling foundations for mechanical engineers designing surgical robots and implants. The engineer will own SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS PDM performance, reliability, upgrades, and new-hire setup; administer PDM users, permissions, workflows, Toolbox, and vault performance; and develop CAD CI for automated model and drawing validation and release. The role will also integrate PDM with design-controls and manufacturing systems to automate BOMs, DMRs, and build routes, build secure on-prem infrastructure for 3D printers and machine-shop tooling including internal quoting, and drive CAD and tooling standards across the company. The technology stack includes SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional; the SOLIDWORKS API using VBA and C#/.NET; Python; Microsoft SQL Server; Active Directory; PowerShell and Bash; Intune and MDM; Bazel and Nix; and Ubuntu, Fedora, and Windows.
