About The Position

The Critical Environments Operations Center Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the Critical Environments Operations Center and team. The Operations Center is responsible for monitoring and responding (24/7) to critical alarms and events that impact the buildings and employees in the portfolio. The manager will work closely with the Director of Operations and other members of the CE team to ensure the CE Operations Center is operating efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a critical operations center environment
  • Demonstrable service & experience led leadership style
  • Strong understanding of facilities infrastructure and operations
  • Strong knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and other products in the suite
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with BMS, BAS or BACS
  • Experience with WebCTRL, Distech or equivalent
  • Experience managing Union employees
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 8 Utility Engineers
  • Monitor and respond to critical alarms and events
  • Develop and implement procedures and policies
  • Work with the Director of Operations to ensure that the Operations Center is aligned with the company's strategy
  • Conduct performance reviews of team members
  • Conduct weekly team meetings
  • Conduct 1 on 1’s with team members
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members
  • Represent the team at company meetings and events
  • Monitor general SLA’s and KPI’s to identify basic performance deficiencies
  • Ensure basic compliance with standard operating procedures, industry standards, management practices and predefined internal processes.
  • Adhere to standard facility maintenance procedures and escalate obvious hardware or mechanical issues or failures
  • Follow existing operational processes, procedures and workflows, making suggestions for improvement
  • Develop business relationships with other CE team members and partner department team members
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned at any time as needed
