About The Position
Lava Island is hiring a Crew Member to help create a fun, safe, and memorable experience for families at its indoor play facility. The position may involve park or café work and is primarily for weekday daytime shifts. Open availability Monday through Friday during the day is required; the posting also says applicants must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role is active and fast-moving, with varied duties throughout each shift. Success involves staying engaged, supporting the team, and consistently delivering a positive experience for families. Crew Members may grow into roles such as Crew Specialist, Crew Trainer, Guest Experience Captain, Party Lead, or Crew Lead. Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must pass a background check.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Open availability Monday through Friday during the day is required.
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliability, consistency, friendliness, and a positive demeanor under pressure.
- Focus on doing things the right way and comfort staying active.
- Be a supportive teammate who is willing to step in and help without being asked.
Responsibilities
- Welcome families at check-in.
- Supervise play areas and support safety.
- Help run birthday parties and celebrations.
- Prepare and serve food in the café.
- Keep spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
- Bring steady, positive energy to each shift.
- Stay engaged, support teammates, and deliver a great experience for families.
