About The Position

The Cafe Crew member serves guests according to Spare Time Entertainment’s Steps of Service. The role involves taking and fulfilling food orders, operating the point-of-sale system, preparing and serving food, maintaining clean and organized work and guest areas, and following food safety and quality regulations. The Cafe Crew member also supports shift paperwork and opening and closing duties, assists with deliveries and waste control, communicates inventory shortages to a supervisor, and promotes the location’s features and upcoming events.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take orders, and answer questions about specials, prices, and food.
• Demonstrate menu knowledge and make suggestions to guests.
• Operate the POS system and accurately ring orders, provide bills, collect payments, and make change.
• Complete required complimentary shift paperwork and settlement consistently and in an organized manner.
• Complete shift opening and closing duties.
• Maintain clean equipment and work areas by following preventative maintenance programs and applicable health department codes.
• Keep products and areas organized and restocked as needed.
• Keep guest eating areas clean.
• Help put away food and supply deliveries.
• Prepare and serve food to guests in a timely manner.
• Adhere to food safety and quality regulations.
• Assist with waste control.
• Communicate inventory shortages to a supervisor.
• Promote knowledge of the location’s features and upcoming events.
