About The Position

The Cafe Crew member serves guests using Spare Time Entertainment’s Steps of Service. This role greets guests, takes and prepares orders, answers menu-related questions, and provides food and service in a timely manner. It also involves operating the POS system, handling payments and shift paperwork, completing opening and closing duties, maintaining clean and organized work and guest areas, and following food safety and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders, answering questions about specials, prices, and food.
• Demonstrate menu knowledge and make suggestions.
• Operate the POS system accurately, ring orders, provide bills, collect payments, and make change.
• Complete required complimentary shift paperwork and settlements consistently and in an organized manner.
• Complete shift opening and closing duties.
• Maintain clean equipment and work areas by following preventative maintenance programs and applicable health department codes.
• Keep products and areas organized and restocked as needed.
• Keep guest eating areas clean.
• Help put away food and supply deliveries.
• Prepare and serve food to guests in a timely manner.
• Follow food safety and quality regulations.
• Assist with waste control.
• Communicate inventory shortages to a supervisor.
• Promote knowledge of the location’s features and upcoming events.
