Crew Member - Park or Cafe (Weekday)
About The Position
Lava Island is an indoor play venue with trampolines, slides, foam pits, obstacle courses, and birthday parties. Crew Members help create a fun, safe, and memorable experience for families. The role is active and fast-moving, with varied duties throughout each shift. Success requires staying engaged, supporting the team, and consistently delivering a positive experience for families. The position is primarily intended for weekday daytime shifts, and open availability Monday through Friday during the day is required. The posting also states that candidates must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation is $15.50 per hour. Crew Member is the starting point on the team, with potential advancement to Crew Specialist, Crew Trainer, Guest Experience Captain, Party Lead, or Crew Lead based on readiness, performance, and reliability.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Complete a background check.
- Be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Have open availability Monday through Friday during the day.
- Be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Be reliable and consistent, friendly and positive under pressure, focused on doing things the right way, comfortable staying active, and supportive of teammates.
Responsibilities
- Welcome families at check-in.
- Supervise play areas and support safety.
- Help run birthday parties and celebrations.
- Prepare and serve food in the café.
- Keep spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
- Bring steady, positive energy to each shift.
