About The Position

The Crew Chief is part of the management team and works with the General Manager to provide excellent customer service, guide the crew, maintain smooth operations, and support sales growth. The role offers training across different jobs and opportunities to advance within the company. Crew Chiefs also provide leadership, coaching, and direction to teammates while helping maintain an engaged workforce and an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

One to three years of retail management experience.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership ability, including the ability to inspire and motivate diverse groups of people.
Sound business sense and a comprehensive understanding of the retail industry.
Ability to analyze, understand, and recommend financial objectives that help increase sales and service results.
Positive, helpful attitude and professional conduct and appearance.
Enjoyment of and energy for a fast-paced, flexible, high-performance retail environment.
Guest First mindset.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to stand on hard surfaces such as concrete or metal.
Ability to lift and move work-related items weighing up to 50 pounds.
At least 18 years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Work with the General Manager to grow revenue by increasing guest count and improving lead measures, including core sales mix, MultiCare, and Core Plus.
Coach the team and deliver excellent customer service to create an exceptional guest experience.
Set a positive leadership example and build team engagement and efficiency.
Develop teammates through the internal training program, ongoing guidance, coaching, and direction.
Ensure quality-control measures and processes are followed consistently.
Handle duties and projects such as inventory, cash-handling processes, guest issues and concerns, and critical initiatives in coordination with the District Manager.
Assist the General Manager with budgeting, sales forecasts, financial performance, and expense controls.
Provide clear and detailed direction to the team.
Ensure the service center is clean, safe, and presentable according to the Guide to Excellence.
Guide and mentor automotive technicians and customer service advisors.
Perform opening and closing duties when the General Manager is absent.
Assist the General Manager in building and maintaining a workforce aligned with customer volume and business needs.
Lead daily team huddles and store meetings and set direction for achieving business goals.
Manage inventory and product orders according to business needs.
Follow and hold others accountable to rules and regulations that maintain a safe, productive work environment for teammates and guests.
Assist guests with questions and needs in person, electronically, or by telephone.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
