About The Position

The Credit Specialist manages a portfolio of process-focused customers and national accounts. The role handles a wide range of credit and collection functions, applying credit policies to manage risk, encourage prompt payment, and minimize credit losses while maintaining positive customer relationships. The specialist also supports enterprise business and sales objectives and collaborates with colleagues across credit management levels.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• 1–3 years of experience in credit management or similar roles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain consistency between credit and collection activities and the organization's overall customer relations strategy.
• Implement credit policies to maintain an acceptable risk level, encourage prompt payments, and minimize credit losses.
• Contact customers about delinquent payments, prepare reports on credit and collection status, and identify and address problem debts.
• Manage customers using portals for purchase order delivery, invoicing, and payment.
• Handle a wide variety of credit and collection functions, including sophisticated, large, or difficult credit accounts.
• Maintain positive customer relations while minimizing outstanding debts.
• Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
• Strengthen internal and external relationships.
• Work with peers at different credit management levels and support them as needed.
• Support enterprise business and sales objectives through efficient job performance.
