About The Position

The Credit Representative supports the Credit Department by reviewing, managing, and resolving credit-related account issues. The role helps minimize arrears, reduce write-offs, and ensure compliance with credit policies, administrative rules, and regulatory standards. The representative interacts with customers, internal teams, and external agencies to resolve escalated credit situations and maintain accurate account records. This is an on-site position in Davenport, Iowa, with a stated duration of November 30, 2026, through May 30, 2027. The listed pay rate is $21.33 per hour on W-2.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively handle difficult customer issues.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.
Previous call centre experience.
Previous credit and collection experience.

Responsibilities

Review past-due active and final accounts and take appropriate action.
Handle escalated customer contacts related to credit issues professionally and accurately.
Conduct credit review workflow exceptions in the customer service system, including disconnection reviews, balance transfers, and unpaid non-service items.
Communicate with property owners, external agencies, and vendors regarding account status and collections.
Notify and follow up with customers regarding final bills, payment arrangements, and balance transfers.
Interpret and apply credit policies, tariffs, administrative rules, and regulatory requirements.
Document and maintain accurate customer account records in the customer information system.
Perform additional credit-related responsibilities as assigned.
