About The Position

Imperial Brady is hiring a Credit & Collections Specialist in Detroit, Michigan. The role manages a portfolio of customer accounts to collect and resolve past-due invoices, monitor credit risk, and support timely cash flow. The pay range is $26.00 to $29.00 per hour, plus bonus.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of B2B collections work experience.
• Sound knowledge of the order-to-cash process.
• Ability to build rapport quickly with external customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer accounts, including reviewing order holds, collecting receivables, monitoring risk, and assessing and analyzing creditworthiness.
• Identify problem accounts, write-offs, and related adjustments, and lead work through resolution.
• Monitor past-due percentages frequently and provide proactive action plans.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and create strategic plans to improve cash-flow timeliness.
• Collaborate with Business Operations and Cash Applications teams to resolve open credits and refunds.
• Manage compliance with required internal controls and departmental procedures.
• Maintain portfolio performance against functional metrics, including past-due percentage, average days past due, and days sales outstanding.
