About The Position

At Bank of America, this role applies judgmental and prescriptive lending principles to decision credit card applications. The analyst evaluates a wide range of applications and credit complexities with a high level of approval authority, optimizes relationship opportunities, and provides a high level of customer service to internal and external partners. The position is based at the Belfast, Maine location and is scheduled for 40 hours per week on first shift. The role is benefits eligible and receives a base salary; it is not incentive eligible.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, secondary school qualification, or equivalent.
• Two years of Consumer Card Underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of consumer lending and consumer products.
• Financial math skills.
• Credit analysis skills.
• Knowledge of credit guidelines and lending procedures.
• Time management skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Skills in credit documentation requirements, credit and risk assessment, customer and client focus, decision making, underwriting, analytical thinking, collaboration, prioritization, recording and organizing information, attention to detail, business acumen, financial analysis, oral communication, and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while receiving inbound calls and making outbound calls with clients.
• Manage and prioritize tasks to decision credit requests within required Service Level Agreement (SLA) periods.
• Apply knowledge of lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Service existing clients and maintain accounts.
• Follow judgmental and prescriptive lender guidance when making final decisions and ensure adherence to policy guidelines.
