About The Position

The Credit Analyst conducts credit investigations and analyzes credit information pertaining to loans. The role evaluates borrowers’ creditworthiness and assesses their ability to meet financial obligations and repay loans by reviewing financial history and projecting future income. The position is not eligible for remote work.

• At least two years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and review available sources of credit and financial information for individuals and companies, including company audits, tax returns, management-prepared statements, individual tax returns and financial statements, and farm analysis statements.
• Interpret and enter financial information into the software system.
• Research and examine credit risks and evaluate customer credit reports.
• Analyze financial information to predict patterns and trends, including projecting future income.
• Determine customers’ cash flow and risk profiles according to Bank credit policy.
• Prepare spreads and cash flow spreadsheets, present facts, and offer opinions concerning creditworthiness.
• Assist lenders in gathering and interpreting financial information from customers, accountants, and bookkeepers.
• Scan work papers and maintain customer information files and a work log.
• Maintain knowledge of available financial and loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
