About The Position

We’re looking for a Creator Lead to drive the execution of creator-led content (UGC, self-tapes, creator edits) within a portfolio of brands. This role acts as the bridge between our creative strategy team and our growing network of part-time and contract creators. The Creator Lead will work alongside strategists to analyze performance and translate insights into creator execution. This involves prototyping new creative approaches by filming oneself, writing scalable briefs, identifying and coaching creators, and managing the pipeline to produce numerous content pieces from a single strategic idea. The role requires active participation in the creative process, including content creation, providing feedback, and elevating the standard of creator-led work.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience creating content for social media and directing or coaching other creators.
  • Strong on-camera and behind-the-camera skills, capable of shooting and performing in UGC-style content to prototype ideas and set standards.
  • Strong instincts for matching talent to briefs, with an understanding of what makes a creator effective.
  • Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to creators that improves their work without diminishing their energy or authenticity.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple brands, creators, and briefs simultaneously.
  • Foundational understanding of performance marketing, including concepts like hook rate and thumbstop, and the ability to connect creative decisions to data.
  • Deep fluency in digital content culture, including trending content and what resonates as authentic.
  • Strong communication skills to interface effectively with both strategy teams and freelance creators.
  • Must be based in Los Angeles and able to be present at the Arts District studio regularly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a performance marketing agency, UGC studio, or creator-led content company.
  • Background in casting, talent management, or creator partnerships.
  • Background in creative strategy, media buying, or direct-response advertising.
  • Existing relationships with creators or influencers in the DTC space.
  • Experience with whitelisting and creator partnership programs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the execution pipeline for all UGC, self-tapes, and creator edits within a portfolio of 5-10 DTC brands across various categories (beauty, wellness, food & beverage, pet, apps, etc.).
  • Prototype new creative approaches on camera by shooting proofs of concept to validate ideas before scaling them through the creator network.
  • Translate strategic direction from strategists into repeatable creator briefs with clear, actionable direction, connecting performance metrics and brand goals to content creation.
  • Lead and oversee a team of part-time creators, including assigning briefs, reviewing work, and coaching them to improve performance.
  • Utilize performance data to guide content creation decisions, iterating quickly on successful strategies and discontinuing ineffective ones.
  • Drive execution with speed and autonomy, rapidly turning around concepts, testing at volume, and iterating based on real-time performance.
