About The Position

The Creator Lead owns the strategy and execution of creator-led content—including UGC, self-tapes, and creator edits—across a portfolio of 5–10 DTC brands. This creative strategy role analyzes performance data and turns insights into creator-led execution by prototyping creative approaches, writing scalable briefs, identifying and coaching creators, and managing the pipeline that turns strategic ideas into multiple pieces of content. The role is hands-on in the creative process, including making content, providing feedback, and raising the standard for creator-led work at TubeScience. The position is based in Los Angeles’s Arts District and follows a hybrid schedule, with regular in-person presence at the company’s Arts District studio and 2–3 days per week in the office. Compensation is $90,000–$110,000 base plus a performance-based bonus.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience creating social media content and directing or coaching other creators.
  • Real performance marketing experience and a deep understanding of performance concepts, including hook rate and thumbstop, and how creative decisions relate to data.
  • Ability to perform and shoot UGC-style content well enough to prototype ideas and set a standard for the team.
  • Strong instincts for matching talent to briefs and a clear point of view on what makes a creator effective.
  • Ability to give creators clear, constructive feedback that improves their work while preserving their energy and authenticity.
  • Strong organization across multiple brands, creators, and briefs.
  • Deep familiarity with digital content culture, trends, and what feels authentic versus forced.

Responsibilities

  • Own creator strategy for assigned brands by developing creative angles and messaging frameworks using proprietary performance data and consumer, product, and competitor research.

  • Use performance data to guide future content production, iterate on successful approaches, and discontinue approaches that are not working.
  • Drive execution with speed and autonomy, turning around concepts, testing at volume, and iterating based on real-time performance.
  • Identify creators suited to creative briefs and coach them through clear, constructive feedback.
  • Coordinate multiple brands, creators, and briefs while communicating creative direction to cross-functional partners and freelance creators.
