Creative Strategist

MVR Digital•Los Angeles, CA
•$4,800 - $6,000•Remote

About The Position

MVR Digital is hiring a Creative Strategist to connect performance data with creative output for luxury and premium direct-to-consumer clients. The role focuses on analyzing Meta and Google ad performance, developing testable hypotheses about creative performance, and writing clear, structured briefs that creative partners can execute without ambiguity. It is not a brand-storytelling role. The Creative Strategist will build testing roadmaps with media buyers, oversee creative briefs and execution, maintain a tagged creative asset library, and track and adapt UGC and short-form trends on TikTok and Instagram. Hands-on UGC scripting is a core function, including writing natural-sounding 15–30 second scripts and iterating on existing concepts using performance data. MVR Digital is a performance marketing agency serving luxury and premium DTC and e-commerce brands. The agency operates fully remotely and async-first, with distributed teams across the US and Canada using Slack and ClickUp. The role is full-time and remote, open to candidates across the US and Canada. Compensation is monthly and commensurate with experience.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in creative strategy, performance marketing, or a closely related role such as media buying, copywriting, or performance-oriented brand marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience writing structured creative briefs, not just mood boards.
  • Comfort working in a remote, fast-moving agency environment while managing multiple client accounts and external creative partners simultaneously.
  • Strong written communication skills for async collaboration with a distributed team.
  • Hands-on UGC scriptwriting experience; ideally, a portfolio or examples of scripts that became produced ads.
  • Working fluency in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads reporting, including reading hook-rate and hold-rate curves as well as spend and ROAS.

Nice To Haves

  • DTC or e-commerce experience is strongly preferred.
  • Luxury or premium brand experience is a differentiator; candidates should be able to discuss how creative instincts shift for higher-consideration purchases.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted creative research or tagging tools.
  • Basic working knowledge of Figma, Canva, or Adobe tools to communicate visual direction, without needing to execute design work.

Responsibilities

  • Read Meta and Google ad performance data daily to identify fatigued hooks, effective formats, and audience saturation.
  • Translate performance signals into structured creative briefs covering segment, message, hook type, format, reference, and success metric.
  • Build and prioritize a creative testing roadmap with media buyers, using specific, falsifiable hypotheses.
  • Brief designers, video editors, copywriters, and UGC creators, and oversee creative execution.
  • Maintain a tagged creative asset library so past winning concepts can be found and iterated on.
  • Track UGC and short-form trends across TikTok and Instagram and adapt winning formats to client brands and offers before they fatigue.
  • Iterate on existing UGC concepts based on performance data, including tightening hooks, testing openers, and directing pacing changes for editors.
  • Write natural-sounding UGC-style scripts using hook, problem, proof, and CTA structure in a 15–30 second format.

Benefits

  • PTO
  • Paid holidays
  • Flexible Fridays
