About The Position

Runway is seeking a Creative Operations Manager to run the day-to-day operations of its in-house creative department. The role oversees resourcing, scheduling, and project tracking across brand campaigns, product launches, video production, social content, web, events, tutorials, and tactical marketing assets. It is the operational link that keeps the creative team moving, managing intake, assigning work based on capacity and skill set, facilitating weekly resourcing meetings, and ensuring projects stay on track. The Creative Operations Manager reports to the CCO and partners closely with the Creative Director, social lead, and cross-functional stakeholders. The role calls for experience with the rhythms of creative work, including briefing, feedback cycles, competing deadlines, and judgment about when to push back or adapt. The successful candidate will bring rigor to a fast-moving, growing in-house team that favors speed and action. The position is open to remote candidates across the United States, with New York preferred. Runway also has offices in San Francisco and Seattle.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in creative resourcing, traffic management, or project management.
  • Deep understanding of how creative work gets made and sound judgment in managing competing priorities without compromising quality.
  • Experience with resource management and project tracking tools such as Asana, Monday, Airtable, or similar; must be able to adopt and evolve Runway's custom solution.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to run meetings, mediate competing requests, and keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Experience managing freelancers, vendors, and external production partners, including budgets and timelines.
  • Ability to oversee multiple concurrent workstreams and anticipate potential problems.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment while building processes and executing.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary creative teams, including designers, writers, editors, and producers.

Nice To Haves

  • Agency or production company experience is strongly preferred.

  • Build and manage the team's project tracking, intake process, and production calendar.

  • Track active projects from brief through delivery, including brand campaigns, product marketing assets, video, social, web, tutorials, and events.
  • Identify and resolve resourcing conflicts, bottlenecks, and competing deadlines before they become problems.
  • Manage relationships with freelancers and external vendors, including sourcing, onboarding, and overseeing delivery.
  • Scope timelines and keep work moving through feedback and approval cycles.
  • Manage external production and contractor budgets.
  • Build and refine bespoke AI-driven processes that help the team scale without slowing it down.
