About The Position

Jerry.ai is seeking a Creative Lead, Lifecycle & Organic Growth to fundamentally change how the company communicates with its customers. The role focuses on transforming transactional messaging into value-additive, relationship-driven content across various channels like CRM, email, SMS, and in-app copy. The goal is to build trust, engagement, and long-term customer loyalty by making car ownership, a typically stressful topic, feel more human and accessible. As the brand's voice, this individual will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives that resonate with customers and foster a sense of community. The position offers a 'blank canvas' opportunity to define the brand's personality and voice, working closely with the CEO and cross-functional teams. Initially an individual contributor role, the scope may expand to include other organic content creation like social media as the brand's tone of voice solidifies and lifecycle campaigns show success.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in creative marketing with a focus on organic growth and a copy lean.
  • Proven track record with organic channels like email, SMS, and social.
  • Experience working with consumer brands.
  • A portfolio showcasing both writing and creative craft.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability to translate complex, dry, and stressful topics into engaging, human, and accessible copy.
  • Deep expertise in copywriting, audience development, and product positioning.
  • Understanding of the social media landscape and community dynamics (e.g., Reddit).
  • Ability to take qualitative data and user pain points and turn them into resonant, empathetic marketing copy.
  • Experience in fast-growing startups and ability to champion the unmeasurable value of a great brand experience.

Responsibilities

  • Overhaul existing customer communications, including CRM, email, SMS, and in-app copy, shifting from functional and direct to value-additive and relationship-driven messaging.
  • Understand customer needs and pain points to build trust and engagement through empathetic marketing copy.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Growth, and Customer Insights teams to inform messaging strategies.
  • Develop and define the brand's personality and voice across all organic surfaces in partnership with the CEO.
  • Craft compelling narratives that make people feel something and take notice, building enthusiasm and trust around topics like insurance, maintenance, and safety.
  • Potentially expand scope to drive customer growth and build brand affinity through producing other creative organic content, such as social media, as the brand's tone of voice takes shape and lifecycle campaigns demonstrate success.
