About The Position

WITHIN is hiring 8 creatives into an 8-week paid fellowship designed to be the highest-leverage 8 weeks of your career so far. This fellowship focuses on performance creative, treating it as a craft rather than a lesser form of brand work. Fellows will gain extensive experience through high volume of work, direct access to leadership, and a mix of performance creative (70%) and campaign development/rebrands (30%). Successful fellows at the end of the 8-week period will transition into full-time Creative Lead roles within the broader creative team.

Requirements

  • Hustle, taste, and curiosity.
  • Have made something real (e.g., a TikTok account that grew past 5K followers, a Substack, a spec campaign).
  • The work is public and shows your taste.
  • Can write a hook in 90 seconds that makes someone stop scrolling and articulate why it works.
  • Think performance creative is interesting in itself, with consideration for hooks, fatigue, iteration, and platform mechanics.
  • Read ad teardowns and have opinions about what's working before checking metrics.
  • Already using AI tools in your creative workflow (Midjourney, Runway, Sora, ElevenLabs, Veo, etc.) and have strong opinions about their effectiveness.
  • Either a recent graduate of a portfolio or design program (Brandcenter, Miami Ad School, SVA, FIT, Parsons, Pratt, Newhouse, RISD, or equivalent) OR spent the last 1-3 years building an audience and learning to make things people stop for.
  • Live in NYC or are moving for this fellowship.
  • Ability to own work at a high velocity.

Responsibilities

  • Write scripts, draft storyboards, and set design direction across video, static, and AI-generated formats.
  • Work with a team of designers, editors, motion designers, and AI tools to execute concepts.
  • Sit in on new business pitches and own meaningful sections of the work.
  • Pitch concepts daily.
  • Ship work weekly.
  • Watch work go live within days, not months.
  • Be wrong publicly and iterate fast.
