About The Position

Jerry.ai is seeking a Creative Director, Lifecycle & Organic Growth to fundamentally change how the company communicates with its customers. The role will focus on transforming transactional messaging into value-additive and relationship-driven communication, aiming to build trust, engagement, and long-term customer loyalty. The position will initially focus on overhauling existing customer communications across CRM, email, SMS, and in-app copy, with potential to expand into other organic content creation like social media as the tone of voice takes shape and proves successful. The goal is to make car ownership, a typically stressful and emotionally charged topic, more accessible and less burdensome for customers by building a strong brand affinity and community.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in creative marketing with a focus on organic growth and a copy lean.
  • Proven track record with organic channels like email, SMS, and social media.
  • Experience working with consumer brands.
  • A portfolio showcasing both writing and creative craft.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Deep expertise in copywriting, audience development, and product positioning.
  • A great sense of the social media landscape and community dynamics (like Reddit).
  • Ability to think using first principles, avoiding assumptions.
  • Experience in fast-growing startups.
  • Comfortable with discomfort and pushing back on data-first teams.

Responsibilities

  • Overhaul existing customer communications, including CRM, email, SMS, and in-app copy, shifting messaging from functional and direct to value-additive and relationship-driven.
  • Understand customer needs and emotions to build trust, engagement, and drive long-tail conversion.
  • Develop and define the company's personality and voice across all organic surfaces in partnership with the CEO.
  • Potentially expand scope to drive customer growth and build brand affinity through producing other creative organic content, such as social media, as the tone of voice takes shape and sees success.
  • Translate complex, dry, and stressful topics (car insurance, loans, repairs) into engaging, human, and accessible copy.
  • Leverage qualitative data and user pain points to create resonant, empathetic marketing copy.
  • Champion the unmeasurable value of a great brand experience, potentially pushing back on highly analytical, data-first teams.
