About the position
The Daily Harvest Creative Director is a strategic and innovative leader responsible for shaping the vision and elevating the creative across customer touchpoints. This role involves overseeing a team of creatives to deliver exceptional and impactful work that aligns with the brand guidelines and business strategy. The Creative Director must have a cutting-edge creative background and be experienced in multiple channels, such as digital, print, packaging, and social media. Additionally, they should possess strong leadership skills, the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and a focus on delivering excellence within budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the creative team, providing direction and constructive feedback
- Deliver innovative and cool concepts and creative work
- Manage and guide the creative leaders in their respective functions (copy, design, photo, video, creative production)
- Collaborate with the senior director of creative operations to prioritize briefs and find efficiencies in creative workflow
- Work hands-on on campaigns, TV shoots, and brand guidelines
- Ensure work is of the highest quality, reflects brand standards, and is on budget and on time
- Oversee the evolution of the brand guidelines and ensure all deliverables adhere to its standards
- Provide creative quality control and assess creative work to ensure ideas are powerful in reality
- Set the tone for a forward-thinking and positive creative organization
- Work with the director of creative production to manage the creative budget and deliver excellence within budgetary constraints
- Have 10+ years of relevant experience in an agency or in-house creative team
- Demonstrate originality, a cool factor, and multi-disciplinary thinking in your portfolio
- Understand and evaluate creative output in design, art direction, and copy
- Manage a department budget and work within budgetary constraints
- Organize, motivate, and elevate the creative output and skills of the team
Requirements
- 10+ years relevant experience in an agency or an in-house creative team
- Strong portfolio demonstrating originality, a cool factor, and multi-disciplinary thinking
- Strong understanding and experience with the creative process and how to evaluate creative output in design, art direction, and copy
- Experienced in managing a department budget and working within budgetary constraints
- People-focused leader who can organize, motivate, and elevate the creative output and skills of the team
