Creative AI Engineer

About The Position

The Creative AI Engineer identifies where generative AI can make a measurable difference across the business and builds creative AI solutions accordingly. Work may span image, video, text and insight, with priorities guided by business value. Example projects include on-model ecommerce imagery and video, brand-tone translation, catalog-scale product copy, and virtual audiences for testing marketing campaigns. The role combines curiosity and creative judgment with engineering skills to deliver reliable production solutions. The engineer owns monitoring, output quality, operating costs and fixes; ensures outputs meet brand, tone-of-voice, model-likeness and usage-rights requirements; integrates solutions with business platforms; and enables business teams to use generative AI within agreed guardrails. The role is part of a growing AI Team and reports to the AI Team Lead. It is hybrid, combining work from home with work at the Hilversum office in the Netherlands, and applicants must live within commuting distance of Hilversum. Selection includes a portfolio review and a short practical exercise.

Requirements

  • A track record of quickly learning a new domain or tool and shipping something useful; demonstrated evidence matters more than years in a role.
  • Recent hands-on experience building with generative AI or creative technology, with shipped work across at least two of image, video and text; a portfolio is required.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, APIs and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with prompt and retrieval design for language models.
  • Experience with image or video workflow tools such as ComfyUI.
  • A strong eye for fashion imagery and an ear for brand tone, with the confidence to reject output that is technically sound but off brand.
  • Experience building solutions that others rely on, including monitoring, documentation and cost control, rather than only demos.
  • Understanding of image rights, model likeness, consent and data privacy, and the ability to build those checks into workflows.
  • Ability to deliver requested work incrementally and bring stakeholders along before expanding scope.
  • Experience working with creative directors, marketers and engineers, and explaining trade-offs in plain language.
  • Written and verbal English communication skills.
