Join our team as a CPS Supervisor (Child Welfare Supervisor 2), where you will ensure compliance with policies, oversee service delivery, and collaborate with state agencies and community partners. You'll supervise staff, manage training and performance, and provide essential support and mentoring to ensure the best outcomes for children and families. The supervisor is responsible for personnel management, including interviewing, selection of new staff, staff promotions, recommendations for salary increases, reassignment, completing performance appraisals, responding to grievances, rewarding excellent performance and taking disciplinary actions when required. As a (CPS) Child Welfare Supervisor 2 , you will: Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, program standards, administrative rules, and legal requirements through case and workload reviews. Oversee service delivery strategies, ensure service continuity, assess client needs, and allocate personnel and resources accordingly. Collaborate with state agencies and community partners to coordinate services, maintain beneficial relationships, and participate in district planning and special projects. Supervise staff hiring, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and resolve complaints. Provide orientation, ongoing support, case consultation, and mentoring to staff.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in human services or a field related to human services AND two years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related human services experience; OR
  • A bachelor’s degree unrelated to human services and completion of coursework equivalent to certification consistent with Oregon Caseworker Competency AND two years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience in human services; OR
  • An associate degree AND three years of human services related experience two years of which must have included lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR
  • An associate degree AND completion of coursework equivalent to certification consistent with Oregon Caseworker Competency AND two years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience in human services.
