About The Position

Power Digital is an AI-Native Growth Firm that combines strategic expertise, proprietary technology, and human judgment to help brands grow. The firm supports remote, in-office, and hybrid work styles for people legally eligible to work in the United States. The CPG Marketing Account Director owns a portfolio of 4–6 consumer packaged goods accounts, primarily in beauty, personal care, wellness, or food and beverage. The role diagnoses business constraints affecting client growth and develops unified, data-backed strategies across DTC and ecommerce acquisition, retail execution, Amazon market share, brand positioning, and other growth barriers. It requires the product, competitive, and retail fluency to challenge client assumptions with credibility. The Director leads senior client relationships, coordinates cross-functional marketing teams around account strategy, and is accountable for client retention and portfolio growth. The role also manages and develops 1–2 direct reports and coaches analysts and specialists. Success is measured through portfolio expansion and retention, client satisfaction, service expansion pipeline generation, and annual Power Circuit certification.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in CPG marketing, ideally including both DTC and retail brand experience.
  • Understanding of Amazon’s role in CPG growth strategy, including share of search, ASIN architecture, Buy Box, and sponsored versus organic balance.
  • Familiarity with retailer relationships and how partners such as Target, Ulta, Sephora, and Whole Foods shape media investment decisions.
  • A considered point of view on CPG measurement, including MMM, incrementality testing, and in-store versus digital attribution.
  • Fluency in upper-funnel channel strategy, including content, SEO, YouTube, and programmatic.
  • Comfort with creative-heavy accounts where briefs, asset velocity, and influencer strategy are as important as media optimization.
  • Track record of retaining and growing accounts.
  • Experience managing senior clients with strong brand opinions and addressing their needs confidently.

Responsibilities

  • Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes.
  • Use Power Digital’s Nova ecosystem as it relates to the department.
  • Run quarterly Power Circuit reviews to diagnose growth constraints across Business, Audience, Product, Messaging, Channels, and Measurement, including the interaction of retail and DTC performance.
  • Own senior client relationships and lead QBRs that drive decisions rather than simply report historical results.
  • Advise on channel mix across DTC, Amazon, and retail, including how channels cannibalize or reinforce one another, and make recommendations.
  • Coordinate paid, SEO, content, influencer, and creative teams around a unified account strategy.
  • Manage retention and expansion, lead renewals, and grow MRR across the portfolio.
  • Build relationships with multiple layers of client contacts to reduce account risk from the departure of any single contact.
  • Ensure daily use of Iris and Nova, 100% cadence for Pulse, and Power Circuit compliance across managed Account Directors.
  • Manage and develop 1–2 direct reports through regular one-on-ones, development plans, and performance reviews.
  • Coach analysts and specialists and provide specific, timely feedback.
