About The Position
The Courtesy Clerk Trainee is a customer-focused member of the store’s Courtesy Team, supporting front-end operations by bagging groceries, collecting carts, and maintaining store cleanliness. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old, or 16 years old with a valid work permit.
- Be friendly and customer-service oriented.
- Be self-motivated and attentive to detail, quality, and presentation.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
- Work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Read, understand, and follow verbal and written directions.
- Reliably meet the required work schedule and comply with the company attendance policy.
- For internal transfer or promotion candidates: have no disciplinary action during the past six months.
- For internal transfer or promotion candidates: obtain a recommendation from the current leader, who may be asked by HR to provide an endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Bag customers’ groceries neatly and orderly, and verify prices for cashiers when necessary.
- Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and assist customers with carrying groceries to their cars.
- Maintain a cheerful and helpful attitude toward customers and other Team Members.
- Keep the store and restrooms clean and tidy.
- Assist with “go backs” and accompany customers to locate items throughout the store.
