About The Position
The Clerk is a positive, accountable team member who performs a wide variety of tasks throughout the store and may support different departments as assigned. The role focuses on providing customers with a memorable experience, working safely at a fast pace, and maintaining store safety and sanitation standards. Clerks should be ready to learn, work independently as well as with coworkers, and help nourish the community. The position is posted year-round to build a talent pool and may not reflect current hiring needs. Applicants may be kept on file for future openings. Applicants must be at least 18 years old; positions serving alcohol require employees to be at least 21 years old.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age; must be at least 21 for a position that serves alcohol.
- Be friendly and customer-service oriented.
- Have customer service, restaurant, barista, food service, grocery, or similar experience; experience is desired.
- Be self-motivated, with attention to detail, quality, and presentation.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
- Work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehend and follow verbal and written directions.
- Meet the required work schedule and adhere to the company attendance policy.
