About The Position

The City of O'Fallon is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Court Cashier to support the financial and administrative operations of the Municipal Court. This role performs specialized duties related to monetary transactions, account allocation, and coordination with court and police personnel. Accuracy, professionalism, and strong communication skills are essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to two years of related experience or equivalent training.
  • Ability to be bonded.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, equipment, and customer service principles.
  • Basic mathematical skills and accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Proficiency with computers and job-related software.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with the public and City staff.

Responsibilities

  • Process bonds, payments, receipts, allocations, docketing, and scheduling.
  • Enter and verify multiple payment methods for walk-in and mail-in customers.
  • Balance cash drawer daily and prepare daily bank deposits.
  • Update and schedule payment docket cases.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, and general administrative support for the Municipal Court.
  • Support Monday evening court payment processing.
  • Cross-train and assist with other City divisions, including the Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Police Department, and Finance.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
