About The Position

McGill Institute for the Study of Canada, Faculty of Arts, McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer for CANS 300, Topics in Canadian Studies (3 credits). The course is scheduled for Fall 2026, from August 31 to December 4, with classes held on Fridays from 11:35 am to 02:25 pm in FERR 408. Requirements

  • PhD or ABD in Quebec History or related field required.
  • Recognized disciplinary expertise related to Quebec studies.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written).

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in history of Quebec and Canada preferred.
  • Teaching experience in related coursework at the university level preferred.
  • Teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
  • Proposed course outline or sample syllabus.
  • Student evaluations (if available).

Benefits
