About The Position

The Trottier Institute for Sustainability in Engineering and Design (TISED) is inviting applications for a Course Lecturer position for the Fall 2026 semester. The course is Strategies for Sustainability - SEAD 660 (3 credits). The course schedule is from August 31 to December 4, 2026, on Fridays from 02:35 pm to 05:25 pm. Requirements

• Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Management, Commerce, Finance or a closely related field.
• Teaching experience in a university environment in English and/or French.
• Demonstrated knowledge in governance models for sustainability and their competitive market and regulatory advantages, systems theory for sustainability, limits of sustainability and economic theory.
• Demonstrated knowledge of structural and institutional changes for sustainability, managerial approaches that can bring together financial acumen and sustainability goals, and relevance of sustainability as a framework for driving business value creation.
• Past experience in formulating and implementing sustainable organizational strategies in a business context and communicating sustainability performance metrics in business.

Nice To Haves

• Additional degree in engineering, architecture or urban planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach the course Strategies for Sustainability - SEAD 660.
• Deliver lectures on Fridays from 02:35 pm to 05:25 pm during the Fall 2026 semester (August 31 – December 4, 2026).
