About The Position

McGill University's Institute for Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies is seeking a Course Lecturer for GSFS 250: Sexual and Gender Diversity Studies. This course provides an introduction to the interdisciplinary fields of sexual and gender diversity studies, examining various theoretical, historical, and contemporary perspectives. It emphasizes an anti-oppressive and intersectional approach, focusing on marginalized identities, communities, practices, and expressions. Requirements

  • A completed PhD Degree or enrolled in a doctoral program in a discipline related to the course.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based.
  • English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Teach GSFS 250: Sexual and Gender Diversity Studies.
  • Provide instruction from August 31, 2026, to December 4, 2026, on MWF from 12:35 pm to 1:25 pm.
