Course Grader – College Algebra ( Open to Work Study and Non-Work Study)
About The Position
OnRamps prepares students and teachers for success in the classroom and beyond. We build partnerships across K12 and higher education to raise the bar on dynamic experiences that advance student success while lowering barriers to access and opportunity. This position involves grading student assessments for the OnRamps College Algebra course, providing sustained contributions to ongoing initiatives, and offering just-in-time assistance with seasonal and urgent projects. The role requires maintaining accuracy and consistency in grading, revising course materials within the Canvas Learning Management System, and participating in course prototyping, user testing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Current undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Mathematics or a related field (such as Engineering or Physics).
- Intermediate computer skills: MS Word, Excel, and Equation Editor.
- Experience with Canvas LMS.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Nice To Haves
- Interest in and knowledge of local, state, and national dual-enrollment and college-readiness initiatives.
- Expert computer skills: MS Word, Excel, and Equation editor.
- Experiences with Smartsheet.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accuracy and consistency while grading course assignments and assessments in Canvas Learning Management System.
- Revises and finalizes modules, activities, assessments, and other course resources in Canvas Learning Management System.
- Participates in course prototyping, user testing, and continuous improvement.
