About The Position
Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services (LAITS) is seeking highly skilled and motivated professionals to assist with the operations of a unique service department dedicated to creating, maintaining, and promoting technology within the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas. Purpose Provides operational support for technology projects by managing equipment intake, inventory tracking, and material preparation. Assists with organizing and staging equipment to ensure projects are supplied accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Current student enrollment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow defined processes and work independently
- Ability to perform both physical and task-based work consistently
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a hands-on or operational role (e.g., inventory, warehouse, facilities, technical support, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks independently and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment
- Experience accurately tracking information or working with detailed data (e.g., inventory systems, spreadsheets, asset tracking)
- Proven reliability in previous work or academic responsibilities (consistent attendance, meeting deadlines, follow-through)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to complete driver/cart training
Responsibilities
- Perform inventory, receiving, transport, and general project support tasks for technology operations.
- Verify shipments, label equipment, track asset data, and maintain organized storage and inventory records.
- Support installation teams and maintain shop cleanliness, including packaging disposal and material staging.
