About The Position
Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services (LAITS) is seeking highly skilled and motivated professionals to assist with the operations of a unique service department dedicated to creating, maintaining, and promoting technology within the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas. Purpose Provides support for technology documentation efforts by assisting with organizing project materials, gathering field data, and verifying system information. Works closely with full-time staff to ensure documentation is accurate and reflects actual installation conditions.
Requirements
- Current student enrollment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow defined processes and work independently
- Ability to perform both physical and task-based work consistently
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with structured information (e.g., spreadsheets, diagrams, checklists, or data tracking)
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or missing information
- Ability to follow structured processes and maintain organized documentation
- Proven reliability in previous work or academic responsibilities (consistent attendance, meeting deadlines, follow-through)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to complete driver/cart training
Responsibilities
- Assist with organizing project documentation, preparing materials, and supporting documentation workflows.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and verify system details against documentation.
- Support installation teams and assist with general project tasks, including material staging and cleanup.
