About The Position

Assist Career Services staff and perform general office duties. Handles routine office inquiries from employees and students. Assists in the day-to-day maintenance and responsibilities of the assigned department. Responsible for clerical functions including answering phones, filing, scheduling, organizing, etc. Other related duties as assigned. Assists with departmental events and activities.

Requirements

  • Enrolled at least half-time, 6 credit hours per semester for undergraduate and 3 credit hours per semester for graduates.
  • Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate students and 3.0 for graduate students.
  • Must have a current and complete file with the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Must demonstrate financial need by submitting a FAFSA application annually.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent residence, or has an alien registration number.
  • Must meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).
  • Undergraduate student must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester of college-level courses or accepted remedial courses.
  • International undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 12 semester credit hours to meet the federal immigration guidelines.
  • Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours per semester.
  • International graduate students must enroll in 9 semester credit hours in order to meet the federal immigration guidelines.
  • Students who will be graduating may enroll for less than half time for their final semester.
  • Must submit proof of graduation.
