About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Course Coordinator for LABR 3P21 in the Winter D3 term. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group and involves duties related to the Labour, and Artificial Intelligence course. The compensation for this role is based on the employee's qualifications, with rates effective September 1, 2026. Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid $23.30 per hour, while those with such degrees will be paid $36.67 per hour. Requirements
- Broad experience in LABR.
- Previous experience in demonstrating laboratories.
- Previous experience in supervising other demonstrators.
- A LABR DEGREE.
- Leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to assign duties to demonstrators.
- Ability to troubleshoot in the laboratory setting.
- Ability to detect potential hazards.
- Ability and skills to rapidly and appropriately deal with problems as they occur.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the seminar/tutorial/lab sections for a particular course.
- Coordinating Teaching Assistants/Lab Demonstrators/Marker-Graders and holding meetings with them.
- Assisting in the preparation of marking schemes and coordinating the marking of course assignments and/or midterm, progress and final exams.
- Performing any other related duties as may be required by the course instructor.
