About The Position

Pace is seeking a part-time Courier to support laboratory operations by safely and promptly picking up, transporting, and delivering environmental samples, documents, and materials. The courier’s work helps preserve sample integrity and supports accurate data that protects communities and ecosystems. The role includes documenting transportation activities, preparing the assigned vehicle for daily use, assisting staff with transport procedures, and helping resolve process or customer concerns. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and pays $18.00 per hour. Candidates must be comfortable operating a company vehicle equipped with GPS/telematics tracking and inward- and outward-facing safety cameras; the cameras do not record audio.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain all required licenses and certifications.
• Knowledge of safe driving, customer service, and sample transport principles.
• Ability to learn and follow organizational policies, procedures, and transportation protocols.
• Comfort using basic computer applications and maintaining documentation accurately.
• Strong communication skills with internal teams and external customers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good judgment, professionalism, and discretion when interacting with others.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, and materials as needed.
• Review, complete, and process documents, databases, and related information for sample pickup, transport, and delivery.
• Prepare the assigned vehicle for daily operations, including documentation, safety checks, and basic maintenance needs.
• Provide support and assistance to staff and management related to sample transport procedures.
• Assist in researching issues and recommend solutions to improve processes and resolve customer, staff, or management concerns.
• Help ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, seeking guidance or escalating issues as needed.
• Contribute suggestions and participate in team efforts to improve efficiency.
