About The Position

Pace is seeking a part-time Courier to support laboratory operations by safely and promptly picking up, transporting, and delivering environmental samples and related materials. The role helps preserve sample integrity and supports accurate data used to protect communities and ecosystems. The position starts in Westborough and uses a company vehicle. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with compensation of $18.00 per hour. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Related experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain all required licenses and certifications.
• Knowledge of safe driving, customer service, and sample transport principles.
• Ability to learn and follow organizational policies, procedures, and transportation protocols.
• Comfort using basic computer applications and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Strong communication skills with internal teams and external customers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good judgment, professionalism, and discretion when interacting with others.
• Comfort operating a company vehicle equipped with GPS/telematics tracking and inward- and outward-facing safety cameras; cameras do not record audio.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a related role is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, and materials as needed.
• Review, complete, and process documents, databases, and related information for sample pickup, transport, and delivery.
• Prepare the assigned vehicle for daily operations, including documentation, safety checks, and basic maintenance needs.
• Provide support and assistance to staff and management regarding sample transport procedures.
• Research issues and recommend solutions to improve processes and address concerns from customers, staff, or management.
• Help ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, seeking guidance or escalating issues as needed.
• Offer suggestions and participate in team efforts to improve efficiency.
